I believe that it takes #1Peer to make a difference in someone’s life.
What does this mean?
God humbled Himself and sent His only Son, Jesus, to this earth to walk and breathe with you and I. Why? Because He loved you. He loves (present tense) you! Unfortunately, not everyone believed that this was God in the flesh and didn’t want His love. As a result, he was mocked, scourged, beaten, and marred for you and I. He bled and died telling others about God, Heaven, and the “new Earth” that is to come.
We can never come close to the love and sacrifice that Jesus gave. However, what we can do, is demonstrate love, compassion, and empathy to those around us in our own community. Community is so much more than our neighbors and includes the people we interact with every day. Who that is in your life could mean coworkers, students, teachers, leaders, parents, and many more. Perhaps you are a stay at home parent and your community may include your spouse, child(ren), or your social media community.
Each of us need personal connection.
We each need that #1Peer we can reach out to or confide in.
Each of us need a #Barnabas who can come along side us and encourage us (will discuss this more in the future). Will you be willing to be #1Peer to someone else today?
