Weekly Devotional 11.13.2022

Hey There!

I have been challenged recently to begin sharing and serving YOU, my audience, more.

Do you ever feel like you are being moved to do something and not sure what that “something” looks like?

Same here.

I have felt like God is moving me to do something, but haven’t known what that would be or what that would look like. My desire is to help others know my Savior, Jesus Christ in a more relatable way and start (or grow) in a relationship with Him.

How will I do this?

I will be sending you a weekly email where I reflect on a verse from the Bible and encourage you to reflect and see how it could impact your life. Some will see this as a “weekly devotional” and others will see this as an email that they will love to delete. As a Christian business owner, I understand each of you may not want to receive this sort of content and I do understand that. The frequency of emails may increase in time, though, weekly will be a sufficient starting point for now. I welcome your constructive thoughts, feedback, and suggestions as we begin this journey.

If you find this to be helpful, I would love your support as there is a monthly expense in sending these out. You can help by buying me a cup of coffee.

Thank you and God Bless!

Weekly Devotional: You Were Created

“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Genesis 1:27

God created.

Sometimes I get challenged by the fact that this world around me seems to be spinning out of control. Fortunately, it is not, however, as we journey through this life, we are often forced to reflect on our beginnings or the reason why we were created.

Whatever your belief system, the fact remains that we all had a beginning. There was a point in each of our lives where we were created from a sperm and an egg. At that very moment, your life began. There are many skeptics who exist that would love to challenge this belief, but basic science will teach us that we each had a beginning…a starting point, if you will.

What did your starting point look like? It was the same as each person you encounter, however, your journey afterwards may not have been perfect, beautiful, or full of amazing things. It may have been dark, uncomfortable, filled with challenges, and next to impossible to survive. Your journey will continue to have bumps, challenges, and pain points. But I want to share something important…

You were created for MORE!

God created YOU for something important.

In the Bible, God tells you and me that He created us. In the image of Himself He created us. This is fantastic and gives us hope. Although your journey through this life may not be filled with magical fairy dust (by the way, none of our lives are filled with anything close to this), your journey is special because God is holding you. In Psalms 95:4, the writer shares that He (God) holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. God literally is holding you in His hands!

No matter what you are experiencing right now, I want you to remember that…God has created you.

He has made you in His image.

He is holding you in His hands.
